Retro Deathmatch

In order to develop the actual games of the series, I'll begin with a separate retro-flavored multiplayer (Deathmatch and mini-games alike), in which Lenin will play cat-and-mouse with many of his victims.

The latest insight came from Vertix.io (above).

In order to win the round, the albino Komodo dragon must total party kill the human soldiers, being rewarded with points according to the following equation: score = (1800 secunds - time elapsed) x 500.

As for the human soldiers, their victory condition is to land a certain number of hits on the giant lizard (before they are wiped out by the reptile).

In most scenarios, whereas the human soldiers use conventional assault rifles, Lenin is equipped with a Smart Dragon assault cannon (Type I is chambered for .50BMG ammunition).

As with Perfect Dark (above), all games of the Reptilia Squad series feature a Deathmatch mode. Aside from the standard cat-and-mouse game, there are others for Lenin and his foes to fight; one of the most famous scenarios is the so-called Team Deathmatch (a variation of the basic Deathmatch), conceived for a large number of human soldiers (fifty at most) to fight the supervillain.

The most famous variation of Deathmatch, Target Team Deathmatch, is reminiscent of the Pop-a-Cap scenario from the Combat Simulator. One of the human soldiers is selected at random as the victim, being removed from the battlefield when killed, thus dwinding the number of combatants fighting Lenin during the round.

By default, the albino Komodo dragon is armed with a Smart Dragon assault cannon (Type II) as well as his iconic Drachenschwert, whereas his foes are armed with large-bladed machetes and conventional assault rifles (or machine guns).

However, Target Team Deathmatch (Melee) will remove all of the firearms from the equation, thus focusing the gameplay on the Weapon Break maneuvers (performed by the monitor lizard). The only way for the human soldiers to attack him, not surprisingly, is during the brief cooldown of the (always telegraphed) Weapon Break maneuvers.

As with the infamous Gamorrean Guards from “Star Wars: Battlefront II” (above), Lenin can easily one-hit kill the human soldiers.

Since his Weapon Break maneuvers are performed via RNG, the albino Komodo dragon is a fearsome force to be reckoned with.

Thankfully for the human soldiers, such attacks are telegraphed (as explained), and the giant lizard shows himself glowing red while performing such maneuvers.

However, the cooldown time lasts for 3 seconds at most, otherwise such a scenario would be unwinnable for the human soldiers.

In a Target Team Deathmatch (Explosive), all characters use rocket launchers, which lead them to a Rocket-Tag Gameplay. Whereas the human soldiers are vulnerable to massive damage, being one-hit killed (actually gibbed) by the powerful explosions, Lenin is instantly ‘deactivated’ (knocked unconscious) instead.
